Dr. Erin J. Robinson is a licensed psychologist specializing in LGBTQ+ youth and young adults

Dr. Robinson is originally from the New England area where she completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies. Dr. Robinson received her doctorate in clinical psychology with a specialization in children and adolescents from the University of Hartford in Connecticut. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at The Children’s Home in Tampa, Florida with an emphasis on childhood trauma and evaluation. She also completed a rotation working in a dual diagnosis adult inpatient unit at Manatee Glens Hospital in Bradenton, Fl. Her post-doctoral residency was completed at New College of Florida, where she remained for six years advancing to the position of Associate Director of the Counseling and Wellness Center.

Dr. Robinson has worked in various clinical settings including child and adult inpatient units, community mental health outpatient services, therapeutic school setting, and college counseling. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults, including individual and group counseling, family counseling, comprehensive school, psychological, and court ordered evaluations, supervision of pre-doctoral students, and consultation.

Dr. Robinson received credentialing as a College and University Suicide Prevention Specialist by the American Society of Suicidality in 2014, and works with individuals who have lost loved ones to suicide. She has also done extensive clinical work and program development with survivors of sexual assault. Dr. Robinson has a particular area of expertise in working with LGBTQ+ youth and young adults, specifically in providing support to trans* individuals who are exploring their gender identity, completing readiness to transition evaluations, and providing outreach and consultation around gender inclusivity practices.
